About Us...
We're a Simple Family of 4...Ryan, Jenny, Bobby Lane & Calla Mae Higbie~ We reside on a 160 acre piece of land that was originally part of the Homestead Act.
With our land being the highest point in several counties, we are Blessed with an Amazing view of God's Creation. We love to take advantage of all God's Seasons & the bounty that goes along with them...hunting weeds, picking berries, cutting cedar branches down at Christmas, etc! We have 3 ponds and even a wonderful little old Rock Creek that flows steadily when the rain is plentiful...Early rock fences create added character to an already beautiful landscape.
Agriculture is how the past generations of both of our families have chose to make a living, and we are carring on that great tradition ~ The love of Livestock abounds here ~ We are so blessed! It seems to us that the Love of Farming and the Love of all things Primitive go Hand-in-Hand ~ The two are ever so closely tied ~
We live in what was once an Early Stagecoach Stop that we moved 62 miles to Our Farm...It was quite a job! But worth the effort! The house had been too "updated" for us, so we spent several years restoring it back to the state it was perhaps in, in our minds, when it was first built in 1886. We like things Simple, so you won't find any clutter here...just the Early Necessities (and a few hidden toy boxes!!) Possibly & Probably the Last Update of mine for a while...We're expecting Baby #3 in March and I need to focus more of my attention on being a Wife & Mommy! Hopefully periodic updates will surface, but they won't be regular anymore!
